Our Story
The Diana Adapted Foundation was created to serve and empower those individuals with permanent limitations with a focus on supporting them through their mental and physical health and independence. When our Founder and CEO, Diana Gazzano Gibson was in an ATV accident that resulted in the amputation of her right dominant arm, she was left to navigate her new normal with very little resources. She did extensive research on adaptive tools and equipment ranging from everyday to fitness based to allow her to continue to live a typical of a life as possible. She often wondered why there wasn't a place for people with unique or sudden disabilities to turn to help support them through their most vulnerable and trying time of their life.
Diana realized there was a need when she sought out to find support for herself, but found very little information about her new unique difference in one place, so she decided to create one. Diana has always had an innate desire to help others so creating a foundation to support those with limitations, specifically those with sudden limb difference, was a natural next step. Since her accident, she has been a powerful force inspiring others with her optimism, tenacity and positive attitude as she began her new life with one arm. Since, she's become a wife, a mother and a Senior Director at an Arizona based technology company. Diana's ultimate goal with The Diana Adapted Foundation is to prove to others that if she can do it, that you can do it too. The programs she designed for The Diana Adapted Foundation represents the cornerstones that were most impactful in her life and she is thrilled to use their proven methods to impact others.
